Andrea Vitali, doctor and prolific writer, will bring to the public's attention a reflection on the role of women. In his books we meet many female characters: modest, solitary, independent, courageous, entrepreneurial, shrewd opportunists, determined, stubborn women. They are wives, mothers, sisters, spinsters, even if some of them have "renounced and very few of life's pleasures".
They are all "paper" women, but real and contemporary, with well-drawn personalities, active protagonists of their lives, like "the three Ministres" (Andrea Vitali, Mondadori, 2013) - a term borrowed from "Ministre" (the three aunts who contributed so much to the author's upbringing and growth), those who governed the home and the community, with precise and recognised roles.
Andrea Vitali explains: "If I were given the chance, I would ask to be reborn as a woman in order to understand this half of us properly. Since I cannot be certain about what will happen to me post-mortem, I wanted to try to get to know them at least on paper, chasing them with the tip of my pencil. In the meantime, I'm still alive, which means I haven't made any big mistakes.
